I took the Landscape course at Allanbank Arts in 2024. I was really quite anxious about drawing and painting in front of other people as I hadn't long got back into art after a long break. I shouldn't have worried, it was a lovely friendly group and Liz really put me at ease. I learned so many useful techniques that I still utelise in my practice today. Taking this course has been quite life changing for me, I now have my own studio and paint most days. Liz and Justine are really supportive, kind and informative teachers and the setting is STUNNING! I would thoroughly recommend taking a course here

Have you ever wanted to paint a view that you love, or create a piece of art for your home?
This is your chance!
Liz is an experienced and encouraging tutor, and an exhibiting landscape painter. Liz will guide you through the process of painting a landscape using acrylics on canvas, at a size of your choice.
Beginning with creating a small sketch book, Liz will help you to select an image, create your composition, mix your colour palette, prepare and paint your canvas.
We will be working in a small and supportive group, learning and experimenting together, above all we will have fun!
Beginners absolutely welcome!
All materials and refreshments provided, but please bring an apron or overshirt.
We will be meeting for 4 Thursdays 27/8/26 - 17/9 from 9.30am - 1.30pm in the Allanbank Studio
