Allanbank Arts is a vibrant friendly art centre based in the eastern Scottish Borders. Our home is the 18th century former coach house for the Blackadder estate and is a truly picturesque location set in three acres of grounds.
Run by business partners Liz Hardy and Justine Miller, Allanbank Arts offer courses in the visual arts for people of all ages and abilities. We are proud of the quality of our teaching, and the friendliness of our tutors, who are all highly experienced as well as being successful practicing artists. We aim to offer a warm welcome to all and help make art accessible and enjoyable.
We regularly run courses and workshops in drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media, along with a full range of opportunities for young people, however due to covid-19 our courses are currently on hold. We are very pleased to say that our regular Sales and Exhibitions will still be running but with a slightly different format to fit in with regulations.
Liz and Justine also work regularly with partner organisations in innovative and collaborative projects.
In the light of covid-19 we have had to change our plans for this years Open Exhibition. We are in the process of putting together an online summer exhibition and sale with invited artists and friends of Allanbank Arts, which will be up and running for you to view online from the 4th August. We will hang the exhibition in the studio as we normally do and you will be able to purchase free tickets via our website to visit us in person during allotted times.
We very much hope that you will like what you see and we encourage you to come and visit us so that we can say hello!
10% of our selling commission will be going to support the Borders Art Fair.
