The ability to draw the figure well, requires some knowledge of the structure of the human body. In this workshop you will learn the salient points of the skeleton which underpins all figure drawing. Subsequently, through drawn demonstrations, and working form the life model, you will come to understand the major muscles structures that wrap the torso. Special attention will be given to the hands, feet and facial features - eyes, nose, the mouth and ears... often little understood and poorly drawn.
Students will be given the opportunity to take notes during the demonstrations and there will be time for some drawing of the complete figure towards the end of the afternoon.
All materials are provided but you might want to bring an apron!
