We are delighted to welcome George Donald RSA RSW to Allanbank Arts for a weekend of life drawing with a focus on the anatomy of the body.
Day 1 will begin with focusing on the skeleton with some quick sketches of different poses, followed by the skull and then what George describes as "Landmarks", learning to 'see' where the skeleton is visible on the surface of the figure and to note these for more acurate drawing later. After lunch George will cover the major muscles of the torso, the front, back and side.
Day 2 will start with a recap of the previous day followed by focusing on the hand and the eye, and after lunch the leg and the foot.
This workshop is a must for anyone interested in drawing the figure from the complete beginner to the more experienced as George will tailor the weekend to suit the needs and capabilities of each of the students, offering individual advice, demos and encouragement to all.
All materials are provided, just bring a pack lunch and an apron.
