Service Description
At Print Club we will explore a range of different printmaking techniques including monoprint, linocut, cardboard cut, drypoint and collagraph. Each week we will focus on a different method and students will get the chance to bring their own ideas and projects to work on. We will use found materials and plates made from recycled packaging in addition to more traditional supplies. Within these techniques we will cover design, the printing process, inks, tools and printing with and without a press. You will create a print or two during each session. It will be a small group and the classes will be flexible, with support for anyone who wishes to focus more on a particular technique. Emma Jones is a local printmaker and artist (weebluepress.com) who lives and works in Berwckshire. She enjoys experimenting with and combinng different techniques in her work, and she has been running workshops and classes for the last five years. She exhibits locally and writes regularly for Jacksons Art blog on printmaking.
